Here is my dog having rabies  by a coyote poem.

In the Pioneer's my dog has rabies from a coyote. According to the National Center for Infectious Diseases include wild animals like bats, raccoons, foxes, and skunks. Domestic animals account for only 10% or reported cases. Also look for signs of rabies on your pet if your pet has been bitten by a wild animal such as a bat. Mental dysfunction and copious amounts of salivation are signs that rabies virus is active and has reached the brain. Any animal bite should be reported immediately to your physician and a local animal control office. You must realize the virus spreads from the point of the origin to the spinal cord then the brain. Bats have caused most of the rabies accounts in the United States. This is how you should treat rabies. Wash the bite thoroughly with soap and water right away. Let the wound bleed in a cleanse. Treat the suspected bite immediately. Once symptoms are present, the outcome is almost always death. Undergo a series of rabies vaccinations as a part of the treatment plan. Typically this means a dosage regimen for five doses over a period of 28 days. If your pet has any reactions to the vaccine used too treat rabies. You will probably see nausea, headache, dizziness,fever, and muscle aches. Always contact your doctor if any side effects increase or become too uncomfortable. Deal with the emotional stress while undergoing prophylactic treatment for rabies. Many animals develop anxiety issues while waiting for confirmation of rabies. This can only be determined after the animal has been confined for period of 10 days.
